Is this monitor overpriced? Is it still a good monitor for gaming, web browsing, etc.? I'm already buying a PC from HP, so it would be nice if I could also buy the monitor from them, which would give the monitor a free 3 year warranty.

Also, according to a sales rep, the price may come down, in which case they'll give me a coupon I can use on printer ink or something

More about : overpriced monitor

Looks like a good monitor, read the reviews from the users. It does seem like at least part of the price is not only for the quality but for design.

If it was me, I'd get a Dell UltraSharp for that money, newegg may still have a deal for a 24" model for under $300. But a 3 yr warranty is not a bad thing to have also.

Also, Amazon has some pretty hot deals out now for some good monitors. Take a look at these three.

If you really want a monitor with a really low input lag then you might want to take a special look at the Dell U2312HM.
