Hello,hi there I unfortunately bought a refurbished packard bell onetwo with three months warany
of course in four months the things a non runner I took it to get repaired they would not even look at it till i payed them 25 pounds in two days i rang them they said could not fix it as p/bell would not release parts to them
I then went to currys they want 80euro to look at it
am thinking should i just bin it an go for something less flash thank you for your time

Problem with the above statement is you don't tell us what is wrong.........

That sounds like complete Bull, most of the parts are available on the grey market; if you explain what the issue is, maybe someone can point you in the right direction.

Pounds and Euros getting together - it can only be on the Ulster border with the Free State. :D  Find a one-man-band PC fixer - he or she will be far more amenable to keeping older stuff on the road and, if they're anything like me, they'll have a storeroom full of parts from dead PBs they stripped out.

Currys and their cronyies at PC World are to be avoided at all costs. When things are quiet for me, a quick trip round their car parks in my signwritten car soon brings in some custom from people carting their PCs back out, having been quoted silly money for simple fixes.
