Hi. I have recently built a new gaming pc and to get the most out of it i'd like to upgrade my monitor from my current 1680x1050 VGA monitor.
I am a student and so i move around a lot which has made me think about buying a small LED television to use as a tv and monitor as oppose to hauling around two screens. To my question.. I realise large tv's have larger pixels and televisions in general are designed so you sit further away than a monitor, but, if the television advertises its resolution as 1920 x 1080 (such as this one here http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/529937...) will it be any different to a device intended to be a monitor of the same size and resolution (maybe this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0077L2LAC/ref=nosim...). I would like to know simply as if the difference is minimal i will certainly opt for the tv with its tuner/speaker/other inputs which will save me a lot of hassle in the long run. I know resolution isnt everything when it comes to monitors too but i just arent sure whats what when it comes to buying one for a gaming pc. ANy help is appreciated
