Here is a intesting article about palimino being delayed
till late summer, and the Athlon 1.3 is a Thunderburd NOT PALIMINO, which will be at 1.4 only..

the reason? as I have been saying AMD's cpu manufacturing cannot keep up with INTEL and they will only have .13 micron die widths next JAN, a YEAR and 1\2 BEHIND INTEL, which has had them since Coppermine..

According to c't, Palomino is only sampling just now, with production not expected until July. Morgan is on the same timeline as well, with the 0.13-micron versions slated for production in January 2002 for Thoroughbred and March 2002 for Appaloosa (which sounds a bit like the old schedule for Palomino/Morgan, minus a year).

The magazine's roadmap indicates that Palomino will be introduced at 1.4 GHz, with Morgan debuting at 950 MHz. This is later than what AMD stated during the Q4 conference call, which indicated a Palomino introduction late in the first quarter, with parts at 1.4 GHz and 1.5 GHz by Q2. c't's roadmap also points to a Clawhammer introduction late in the first half of 2002, though no specific dates are given.

Finally, the 1.3 GHz Athlon is said to be a Thunderbird. It is still very likely that we will see this chip at CeBit, but what about the rest? . """

well yeah I see what you mean, but I bought alot of rambus and INTEL stock and they have split numerous times,
so I did put my money where my mouth was luckily:) 
and they are cheap now and I know they will both be at 100
by summer end again, as P4 and rambus are patented and untouchable, adn rambus owns DDR as well so they hedge their bbets as INTEL has with DDR

both win either way, chipset people are the only ones who lose when they bet one one

I tried figuring out what they said after a Babelfish translation, but some of their apparent comments made no sense at all, and others contradicted the roadmap. Maybe it was convoluted German.

We have another very recent roadmap that is a very official, very public roadmap from AMD here.

This one was presented by AMD at the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Semiconductor and Systems Conference last Tuesday. The roadmap is slide 20.

It says the following about Palomino:

Palomino
Desktop, >1.2Ghz
Samples 12/00
Production 1Q '01

This is what AMD told the world a whole four days ago. It said samples were out. It said production would start this quarter, and if they haven't already started, they don't exactly have too much time left.

If the c't roadmap is correct, that AMD roadmap presented last week contains a lot of lies.

I don't think so.

What does make sense?

The internal evidence of the c't roadmap indicates this is an outdated one. Maybe it was accurate last October or November, but Jerry Sanders indicated in the 4Q conference call that a number of items had been moved up. The c't roadmap doesn't indicate that, but the Morgan Stanley roadmap does.

The Morgan Stanley roadmap consistently follows recent AMD comments, the only new twist is Palomino at 1.2Ghz+ (earlier, Mr. Sanders had definitely indicated 1.4Ghz was a Palomino, but was unclear about the 1.3Ghz). This may or may not mean the 1.3Ghz or 1.33Ghz chips are Palominos; we could well have 1.3Ghz TBirds and Palominos.

Looks like AMD is bringing up Palomino a bit earlier and starting at a lower speed than expected late last year.

When Can We Get Real Proof?

CeBit in two weeks. If Palomino is showing up any time soon, AMD will show it, and say when we can expect it. If it doesn't show up, then we know there's something wrong. "

OHHh and also, werent palomino suppose to debut at 1.7, OH my,.... AMD got some 1.2 on palomino core. and they coming out as a 1.4 DELAY,.....??? hmmmm,... EARLY for the boat??? hmmmmm

no actually I did not say we did 5 mil just from the website, actually that only accounts for about 18%
but it is improving every month,,

Hey guys, it's all about how well your site works. If it provides customers with information and takes their orders while allowing you to fulfill the orders properly, then who cares about how it looks? It's just like in highschool, who gives hoot whether you wear the designer clothes, etc? You have your friends who aren't so low that they judge your clothes and you have your academics and sports, etc - it's all just about how it works.

Although, having said that, I would never ever buy from Cyberimage due to the immaturity, verbal attacks, slanderous language, and poor excuse for an adult behavior that I have seen CYBERIMAGE display. I'm assuming you are not a representative for your company to other large companies and/or consumers, otherwise I would be led to believe that your profits are coming from Middle/South America as a happy little green plant :) .

Please try to ammend your behavior with acceptable terms, as your current method is extremely disgusting and repulsive, although downright hilarious :D .

i agree with some of your post, and have to say the only reason Crhis and I insulted some is that we were hit by a barrage of insulting remarks from those who we in turn retaliated back against

if you look at some of the nice posts that were sent to us like yours, then we respond in kind...

actually I am one of the people who deals in the largest senor accounts, and am a manager and co owner along with several others...

of course our clients do not insult us the way some people on here have, so you can see how your view is somwhat
skewed

Stable Technologies has not tried to inflame anyone, and has not responded in kind to insulting posts. Based on your posts, I would avoid your company like the plague.

You have potential customers here. Did that occur to you? If I were in the market for an Intel system, do you think your posts would attract me? They make me think "does he treat his customers like this?".

thanks I saw that, and we contacted the sysop and gave him the guys IP \ DNS address and they will investagate the guy
if he does not take it down.

I agree a lame thing for him to do , but we are calling our attorney's today if he does not remove it and going to file a cease order to remove it and then possible sue him for Libel..
