Im overclocking tonight or tomorrow for sure.
But

I can't <b> CANT </b> get the clip off

It was a ah heck to get on and its going to be a ah heck to get off

Any suggestions?

I Gauged my board with a screwdriver alwready once
i used a flat head to push the lever down
i was using 100% of by body weight to get it down and it went down finally but i mean
any tips on removal?

Why do they make these damn things to damn tight?

Wow! How much do you weigh? This sounds wrong to me, you should never have to use that much force for anything in your computer. It just seems fraught with danger to me. Mind you, I've never had to perform this operation myself.

no lie!
Its a ah heck
so much force i swear i gauged the board when the screwdriver slipped
hahaha

Thats why im scared to even attempt to take it off

Cut that POS off! Cut the clip and buy one that fits. Did you plan on putting it back on? How much does a HSF cost? Howmuch does your mobo cost? I don't have a calculator handy, but, I think it adds up to: <font color=red>CUT IT OFF</font color=red>

I had a globalwin fdp32 (for my old socket 7 mb). that thing used to cling onto the socket aswell. I had to use a pair of small pliers to remove it. It damages the plastic bit on the socket though, so add/remove it too many times, and it wont clip in anymore.

BTW, does anybody know if the fdp32 will be any good on socket a t'birds?
