Questions about drivers and booting

1) How come my disc can be detected when in desktop but when I enter bios and change boot sequence to the disc,it boots up into the desktop straight instead of booting into the disc??, i've tried other disc,no such problem

2) If i have a hard disc with OS in it and all drivers, and i upgrade my motherboard ,same gpu and processors etc,do i need to install the motherboard's driver??

  1. hello...
    1) you need to have a BOOTABLE DISK... or the BIOS will go to next device on List looking for a BOOTABLE DISK/DRIVE.

    2) the term is CHIPSET drivers... and if the hardware is different on the upgraded motherboard... windows will need the new drivers to communicate with the motherboard hardware.
