Help me!
untill the other day, when ever im using internet explorer and want to save a picture to my hd, even if it is a jpeg it wants to save it as a .bmp called "untitled", which means i have to rename it "xxxxx.jpeg" to save it as a jpeg, it is VERY anoying and time consuming. i didnt change any settings, it just happend! how do i change it back so its default "save as" is jpeg. can it be done in regedit??? please help im goin crazy!!

Some files might very well be bitmaps, instead of jpegs. So, that's why it'll default to bmp. Just click the dropdown box to switch to jpeg, then type in the filename. Or even faster, use Tab. :wink:

i guess that answer'd him..

yeah dude.. what ever picture you wanna save.right click then click
"save picture as" then you get your little box... You Input the name you want to RENAME the file, or just leave it... but before you click, ok/save... underneath where you input the NAME of the file.. should be a DROP DOWN bar with a bunch of types of PICTURE formats.. giff, bmp, jpg...etc.
