Like, I heard that the P4 was made by Intel and blue men dance around it and stuff. Totally cool. And its like real fast meggerhurtz-wise, and i heard the P4 rules! Lots and lots of transistors and stuff, who’d a thunk? Did I mention that blue men dance around it and stuff?
You know what, this is the best argument anyones ever put forward for the p4. ever! Did I mention ever?

Athlon isn't cheaper than a frying pan. Sure, maybe the crazy chef ones, but not most. Jesus, if you're gonna mkae fun of them atleast try to be right, like "Athlon is cheaper than an oven" or "cheaper than a stove," but a frying pan? Trying thinking a little bit harder next time, okay chief?
"We put the fun back into fundamentalist dogma!"
YEah will we have been building 4 and 8 CPU Xeons
for quite a while now, and they can address 64 GIG ram,
and have 4 megs per CPU, NOW !
companies like Seimens and datageneral have 64-256 CPU XEON
systems with 64 GIG ram now for data wherehousing etc..
plus up to a PETA BYTE of storage
plus NUMA corssbar memory architecture for insane IO throughput..
allthe worldrecord TPS C database scores on are WINTEL
XEON machines with MYLEX EXTREME raid 5 cards which we use in our systems too.
Itanium will scale easily to 500 CPU's, is here next qtr,
I have seen a demonstration of it, and it is insane fast and moves 64 bit data very well.. thanks to a 400 mhz bus.
so AMD SMP is a while off at least in commercial buyable systems and not one off supercomputers,
where INTEL still holds supreme with its 9999 CPU P6 machines at Geographic data place

Ultra High Performance Computers-
You know, I'm starting to think that everyone in here is totally insane. Do you guys do nothing but read all the white papers of each CPU and spout out any and every spec? Sweet lord I'm going to vomit. Oh, and CYBERIMAGE, you seem to be in here a lot. Do you work? This is a serious question because anyone who works for/owns(whatever it is that you say you do) a company as "busy" as CyberImage should be in here once in a blue moon. I'm only able to come in here once every couple days (at the very most), and I own a small computer reseller and do nothing but manager, overseeing sort of tasks. It seems weird that you're here all the time instead of actually doing something useful.

Free us from these chains, let us slip these bonds and touch the sky with our imagination.
I sit here on the computer opposite my workbench while all my stations are filled loading software on the refurbished systems I sell (when I'm not at class, I'm in college full time and then some).
I'm gonna have to go with the Teflon too sorry, wasting a few hundred bucks on a frying "surface" that small is really not what ya wanna do..
it's sorta the versace, tiny fryer... or something.. Light your cigars with $100 bills sorta thing right?
