How to stop multiple copies

Solution
it could be...

if you push print and the item does not print and then you push print many times in a row trying to print an item it all registers. when you restart the pc the items may start printing and you end up with a number of copies.

start>settings>printers and faxes>

click on your printer

delete items off of the printer spool (the list of items the printer is going to print)

Thanks. You got me to check all the settings.
I went to Start, Devices and Printers, Printer Preferences, Finishing.
Here I found that the number of pages was set at 4.
I changed it to 1 and clicked on Apply.
Hooray!
