SyncMaster 2433BW disappearing picture

Hello,
My SyncMaster 2433BW has been working fine. With no warning, the secreen went black. When I switch the screen off and on the picture appears for a couple of seconds than goes black again. Looking very closely you can see a faint image so it looks like the backlighting is cutting out. Any ideas???

Turns out there is a 3 year warranty and it will be collected and repaired by Samsung. Good job I didn't try forcing the case open and getting the soldering iron out!
