Hi, i recently installed a new hard drive in my windows xp system . Everything went fine , installed it , formated it using ntfs and mounted it as dynamic device in the disk management console.

But i can only write data on the hard disk when im logged on as administrator, as a power user ( my every day work account) i can only read data from the hard disk , if i trie to write or delete data on it , access is denied !
How can i change the rights ?

Also my other partitions work flawless under poweruser , which i cant understand as they were also created using my admin account.

1. Change your user account to administrator (easy way).
2. Clear the option Use simple file sharing (Recommended) in Folder options so when you click on the HD's property it shows Security tab. Go into it, add your account and set it to have full control on that HD.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
