A word of warning: Before you downgrade to Windows XP, make sure that your PC or laptop maker has XP drivers for that model on their website. If XP drivers don't exist you cannot run XP on it.
Any PC or laptop that leaves the factory with Windows 7 pre-installed is very unlikely to have any XP drivers for it.
