HP LJ4050tn isn't offline but Win7 says it is

Boss has a HP LaserJet 4050 TN that won't print from his Dell Win 7 laptop. Says the printer is offline. It is online. I can get it to print from my Dell Win 7 laptop. I can ping the printer from his laptop.

I've tried power cycling the printer.
I've tried removing the printer and re-adding it.
I've tried installing the driver from the HP site.
I've tried installing the driver with the anti-virus off.
I've tried updating it to SP1.
I've tried removing the old driver by going through the system32 folder and another time by messing around in the registry removing all non-essential printer related entries.
