Why would you want to downgrade to Windows XP?

You will need to have a licensed disc of Windows XP. Format your hard drive and then install Windows XP. Not real difficult.

Microsoft ends all XP support this year. Including security updates. Much better and safer to stick with Windows 7. Why do you want to downgrade?

XP support ends Arpril 2014.

You will need:-
1). Windows XP installation disc and key (good luck finding that, it stopped selling about the time Windows 7 was released)
2). XP versions of the drivers for the motherboard, audio, graphics, anything that is not supported natively by Windows XP or be gotten through Windows update
3). A very good reason, considering Windows 7 is so much more stable, secure and nicer to use.

OR we're being realistic as to what is needed to downgrade to XP. And we weren't recommending he goes to Win7, but stays with it as it's already on his computer.

your better off leaving windows 7 on your pc and use stardoc or other after market program and reskin windows 7 to look like xp.
