Hello,

I have tried 2 WLAN adapters in my desktop PC (one card and a USB), running W7 64-bit ultimate. Adapters are recognized, drivers installed, shown. But I cannot get them to switch one! Wired works fine. What can I do?

Are you trying to switch them on using Windows' tool or using a program that may have been installed with the driver?

The Windows tool.

See if the driver installed a program of it's own and that works.

Nah, that makes it worse. It seems Win 7 doesn't like these WLAN utilities - anyway, tried it and it doesn't work.

ok, solved it! In properties of the adapter, my virus checker's filter (Kaspersky anti-virus NDIS 6 filter) has to be switched off...

Bert - FYI - virus checkers often not only block viruses but also block things you want to do. Glad to see you solved the problem.
