It's real nice and a great early weapon but I would turn off pole arms
and look to find something in mace/flails or axes. Reason being is that
spears (and maybe other pole arms too, I don't know) work better for
the dexterous and you're centered on strength.

You can always use Ipyvixtycori as a thrown weapon and the bonuses seem
to count, though not the brands (e.g. throwing a dagger of venom never
seems to poison anything). Be aware that jellies can destroy artifacts
and that you don't want to throw it at unarmed humanoids because
they'll pick it up and use it.

I don't like to wear unidentified rings in case they're fire or ice.

I like to get throwing up to level four ever since I read that that's
where the reduced chance of ammo destruction kicks in-- that is, if I'm
planning on using a bow, which you might not be. Also I'm not sure why
you'd want armor and fighting off. They both go up too slowly for my
liking when they're turned on.
