I just ordered parts to build a new desktop computer. I was going to use my old keyboard, mouse, and monitor, but then I realized my monitors resolution is 1680X1050. I was looking to get a good 1920x1080 resolution monitor. I don't want or need integrated speakers. If it doesn't really affect the price I wouldn't mind them, but if it saves money I'd prefer not to have them.
So really what I'm looking for is the monitor that will give me the best picture for gaming at a price < $200. It'd be nice to have hdmi and vga outputs. I've been looking at several on amazon and newegg, but there are so many options it's hard for me to pick out the good vs the bad.
