[Crawl] YASD, thanks Okawaru

I was really having fun with this Naga Assassin. My best Naga and my best
Assassin so far. Stabbing around was great fun and I didn't find the slow
speed to be problem at all after the early game... until I ended in Abyss,
thanks to a weapon of distortion given by Okawaru.

I had some scary moments first with an Ancient Lich and the 1's it summoned,
but in the end the death was a stupid one. I got bored and frustrated about
running in the Abyss and took a stupid risk by stepping over a lava square
despite the fact that I'd started losing my buoyancy a while ago. Needless
to say, the levitation ended the moment I took the step.

Too bad, it would've been interesting to see how this type of character
would have managed Zot. I'd done the Lair and Snake Pit and was in the
middle of the Orcish Mines when Okawaru sent the farewell gift. The Elven
Halls and the Swamp would've been a breeze anyway.

Yes. I even already knew this, but it had to happen once I guess...
From now on I will levitate if possible whenever trying any new
weapons.

After a lot of time spent in the Abyss recently (one abyssal rune in a
YAVP and, freakishly, 3 rather quickly obtained abyssal runes in what
later became a Pan YASD), I've reached the point where I don't even
bother levitating there unless I'm strongly convinced of the utility of
the given act-of-levitating -- the stress of having to constantly be on
the lookout for the end of levitation on top of all the other stresses
of the Abyss is just awful. I discovered a nice alternative, too --
digging/disintegration. Not all, but many of the walls in the Abyss can
be dug/disintegrated, and the most aggravating "walls of water" bypassed
that way.

(Incidentally, I'm usually too much of a nice boy to levitate while
trying weapons... though I do do it every now and then. I just feel
like, since, in light of the hackishness of the whole banishment
mechanism, I'm not sure it was the developers' intention to provide a
way out of being sent to the Abyss, I should let things have their
natural flow. But I'm not saying that as an opinion on how others should
play the game, just another philosophy that exists out there than "if
it's possible, do it" and that one player, this one, uses.)
