Actually my first one. Just finished a rather challenging vault on DL26
and cleared the level (nothing of any use whatsoever in the vault). Hit
the down staircase and:

Entering...
You climb downwards.

And window utterly locked up. :(

Hmm interesting. Just reloaded the game and I am still on that level
after the vault was cleared. But I'm sure i didn't save... Does crawl
auto save for you at certain points?

Anyway back to it...

The game is (at least on Windows) retrievably saved every time you exit
a level. Sometimes things get a little messed up during restoration,
though -- once I lost a spellbook I had been starving for because of
that, and had to wait a lot longer before I finally got my greedy hands
on it for good.
