Dell vostro 1000 boots to bios will not boot to windows

Hello,
my dell vostro 1000 boots and after it starts up I get f2 for bios or f12 to boot. I can get into the bios and eveything looks o.k. f12 does nothing I can't boot to windows

Sounds like a hard disk problem.
Do you have Win XP or Vista installed?

Hello WR2 I reseated the memory and It booted to windows. It has Win XP. However it boots to windows and I try to log on to the internet and It disconnects right away. Thanks Mannyone

Run the hard drive diagnostics or the hitachi drive fitness test and then memtest86 and let us know if any of these test give back errors. Then scan for viruses and spyware and let us know what you find.
