I have made up the list of components for building my new pc. These are the parts they come around 1000 bucks and I'm going to salvage the rest (mouse, keyboard, monitor) so here it is:

MB - ASUS A7V133 VIA KT133A CHIPSET ULTRA ATA100 ATX

Case - MIDDLE TOWER W/300W ATX POWER SUPPLY 3x5.25" 2x3.5" 2x3.5"(hidden)

RAM - 32X64 PC133 256MB SDRAM DIMM

CPU - AMD THUNDERBIRD K7 1000MHZ(1GHZ) 3D OEM

Sound Card - CREATIVE LABS SOUNDBLASTER LIVE! PCI 5.1

NIC - NETGEAR 10BT/100BTX FA310TX PCI

DVD-rom - TOSHIBA SD-M1502T 16X-DVD/48X-CDROM EIDE INTERNAL

Floppy - SONY 1.44MB FLOPPY DRIVE

Graphics Card - ATI RADEON 32MB AGP DDR

HDD - MAXTOR 40.0GB ST0154000U EIDE ULTRA-DMA/66 9MS 7200RPM

All this is exactly 1000 bucks. So what do you guys think? Any suggestions or changes I should make is welcome.

Looks to be good if thats what you want who really cares what we think. But since you asked. You have lots of hard disk space, fast video card, lots of ram, good power supply, sound card, and the chip works. it looks to be a machine your are gonna be happy with :)

Looks like a very nice system. I'm not familiar with the Maxtor hard drive. I would probably go with a IBM or WD drive over the Maxtor. Whatever drive you get make sure it's ATA-100, not 66.
