Overclocking CPU's and Bus Speed

Its well obvious that overclocking the multiplier and voltage on a cpu makes it hotter thus decreasing its life span

but.. what about the Bus speed

Higher Bus speeds
What does that shorten?
The boards life?
ur cards?
Everything?

i am not realy sure about this but on one of my older 686 boards when you push the bus up to 83mhz one of the crappy heatsinks built on to the mobo would get hot enough to burn you. so my best guess would be that it causes the most damage to the mobo if it was not designed to run like that. but like i said that was with an older 686 board.

it basically makes everything a little bit hotter. but if you have good cooling dont worry about it. my fsb is 148 and I/O is 3.69 and motherboard is 1-2 degrees celsics above room temperature. put a little paste under the north bridge H/S and if you feel like you need to put a H/S on the clock generator if your fsb is much higher than this.
