Splinter cell chaos theory wont work in win7

I've been trying to get chaos theory to work on win7 ultimate x64 for a few days now. I keep getting an error saying it can only run with windows 95, Windows ME, etc. I've tried installing these three patches (which, i was told, would fix the problem)
"SplinterCell3ChaosTheoryv1.05NoDVDFixedexeEuroAus"
"SplinterCell3ChaosTheoryv1.05OSFixNoDVDFixedexeEuroAus"
"scct_1.00_to_1.05_america" Patch

i kept on getting blinkw32.dll errors on that second patch so i couldnt get this method to work correctly

i tried running SCCT in xp mode but i kept on getting the error "Virtual environment for launching application has been closed. Start the application again"

I can't think of anything else to try. Is there some way i can fix those errors? or am i just not gonna be able to play scct?

Using Windows Explorer right click on the "chaos theory" .exe program.
Select Properties > Compatibility
Click on the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Select the mode you wish to use.

Gandalf is correct -- have you attempted to run the application in compatibility mode for Windows XP or Windows Vista?

It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and guidance.

Same problem, so I google and have followed the tolded method, but not working.

DON"T GIVE UP!

I also failed to install the 1.05 US Patch AFTER two FixedexeEuroAus (as 2.+3. as follow), said that I am not compatable to install Americian version to my game.

So I download a 1.05 EURO patch again, neglecting my original game version (US or EURO), and THEN install the FixedexeEUROAus. Now I am playing with all Maxium settings and enjoying a funny looking for a older Sam Fisher.

In my conclusion, Try in this oder!
0. Install the game
1."scct_1.00_to_1.05_EURO" Patch
2."SplinterCell3ChaosTheoryv1.05NoDVDFixedexeEuroAus"
3."SplinterCell3ChaosTheoryv1.05OSFixNoDVDFixedexeEuroAus"
4. Play!

Having a hard time with steps 2 and 3- they download as .rar files- do I need to extract them, and if so, what then? Where do I put them!?!

None of this has helped at all. I can run Crysis better than I can Chaos theory, screw pc gaming

I'm having the same problems with SCCT - have downloaded and extracted the .rar files, but what do I need to do with them? just running the two .exe. files doesn't seem to actually do anything?
