Acer recovery disc's

I got in on the acer recovery disc thing too. I buy mine but waited for them to send it to me. I've just tried to download the 64 bit to my laptop and all it does is put empty folders and files that my computer can bring up. How do I get these stupid things to work. I know as soon as I can afford to I'll buy another laptop, but it want be an acer. Never buying acer anything again, if I know it's acer that is. lol. Please help.

the cd you got in the mail should have a program on it for you to make a recovery cd from it.

on the dells and hp i worked on you put the disk into the cd-rom drive of the laptop and hold down a set of keys to bring up the recovery program.
