I recently bought a Gateway FHX2300 monitor and I'm noticing that it flickers occasionally at low brightness settings. It doesn't do it all the time, but when it does it is very noticeable, especially on white backgrounds. I would film it but it's too slight for the camera to pick up. I don't notice it when I up the brightness. I have it set at 1920x1080 (native res) and 60hz (max supported) refresh rate. Drivers are up to date. It is connected to a 6850 by HDMI. I don't overclock or anything.
I'm concerned that it might be starting to fail. Sometimes it doesn't flicker at all and other times it will suddenly start. As far as I can tell I have all the settings within the monitor's ratings.
Is this a sign of failure? or is there something else that could be causing it?
