Hi all I am trying to locate a serial to mini USB2 cable (= the connector on the
Zire 72).
The intended application is an Automotive diagnostic system (OBDII
scanner by Auterra [www.auterraweb.com]) which only works with serial hot sync
cables.
[The Zire 72 is not officially supported by the application - I believe this is
because of the lack of a universal serial connector for the Zire but I could be
wrong.]
Alternatively, I imagine a serial to bluetooth adaper could work.
Any opinions/
experience?

There is no serial port in the Zire. the hardware is missing and the
firmware has no support for it.

No, it's probably because of the lack of serial port.

I don't think such a device exists. With USB, you must have a "master"
and a "slave". USB|serial converters are slaves, and so are Palm
devices. A bluetooth or infrared adapter might work.

I like that connector with both the USB and the power connection held
together by the same mold instead of the separate connector other
vendors offer. Is there a USB to USB+power cable somewhere that uses
this same connector?
