What to do with Windows.old folder?

I just reinstalled windows 7 on my computer as it was infected by a virus. now in my C drive there is windows and windows.old folders. what do i do with the windows.old folder?

Run disk cleanup on your C: drive and select 'remove previous Windows installations'.

Yes but there might be some system files that you won't have permission to delete. Disk cleanup method is failproof.
