Logitech G500 high pitched beeping/squealing?

I've had my G500 for some months now and recently I've noticed this awful inconsistent beeping coming from my mouse. I know Logitech mice have been known to beep and make noises but they tend to be only noticeable when you put the mouse to your ear. I can hear the beeping all the way from my desk. It's quite loud to the point where I thought it was coming from my PC. But isolating the mouse confirmed that it is coming from the G500. It's just a long inconsistent drawn out beep.

Is this just an annoyance I'll have to deal with or is something wrong with my mouse. Possible defect?

My G500 just started (bought it 2 weeks ago) making high-pitched noises aswell. This very same thing happened to one of my old MX518s aswell.

Shitty Logitech quality. I certainly won't buy another one of their products again.
