Does anyone know which system would be best for a professional, high-end graphics workstation (3d STUDIO MAX, Form Z, etc): A dual 1GHZ Xeon PIII system or a single 1.5 GHZ P4 System?

Thanks

Do a search for past posts on the Xeon. They are not worth it. If your time frame allows wait for the upcoming dual Athalon systems or the new p3 duals that are coming up soon.
I use Maya/Mtor and am waiting for the dual Athalon systems.

If the software supports SMP (2 processors) then get the dual Xeons.

P4 would obviously get spanked by SINGLE Xeon, but unless you really have big money to waste and you care just a little bit about price/performance, get dual P3 (if you really have to get two processors) or single T-bird (don't buy that incompability/instability crap form Intel lemmings, T-bird is THE CPU for 3D rendering).
