I've Decided to upgrade to an Athlon 1.33 ghz cpu and i wont be overclocking it probably unless its in future if i get bored

Which Motherboard should i get

ASUS A7V133 + Athlon 1.33 ghz + 256 PC-133 = about $460 (estimation)
ASUS A7M266 + Athlon 1.33 ghz + 256 PC2100 = about $500+

should i get the cheap solution or the ddr system

both have good preformance but will the DDR be the best benifit in the future or will the SDRAM system since maybe DDR wont be at its peak for year or more

thanks

I strongly believe that DDR will stay fir a while, at least as long as SDR SDRAM did. So therefore a good investment in DDR platfrom would be nice.

Go the DDR route. There's a good change the next generation Athlons, Palomino and Thoroughbred, will take even greater advantage of DDR memory than the current T-Birds do. If you want to upgrade your processor in a few months or a year from now you'll be better of having DDR-SDRAM.

You can get 256MB of PC2100 <A HREF="http://www.crucial.com/store/ListModule.Asp?MODULE=184-pin+DIMM" target="_new">here</A> for $126.89.
