i have download suns virtual box, and have loaded vista and xp into the virtual box...i have tryed putting windows 2000 there, but will not install.....does that have something to do with my sata drive...possibly need sata drivers while installling..windows xp went on fine

Solution
No. Windows 2000 should load fine (VirtualBox emulates IDE, SATA, or SCSI controllers) as long as you haven't created a SATA controller for the attached virtual disk. On my 2000 VM the IDE controller type is set to PIIX4, which may or may not be significant.

Exactly what error do you get when you try to install Windows 2000?
