Currently reviewed projects:

* Lost Labyrinth
* H-World
* POWDER
* Kaduria
* ZAPM
* Silmar
* Xenocide
* CalcRogue

Projected on my "waiting list" be reviewed, should be done within a few
months' time:
* Tyrant
* GearHead
* Abura Tan
* Guild
* Doom RL
* Tower of Doom
* Castlevania
* Shuruppak

If you know of a recent (and hopefully interesting) project that is not
on the list, please let me know.

Enjoy.

Who needs a review site where every review is positive?
In the education system they call "grade inflation": if everyone gets good
grades, good grades become meaningless.
Based on your review site it seems that all roguelikes, including all in-dev
projects are just great. Now how realistic is that?!

I don't see any point in trashing in-dev projects on what they haven't
implemented yet. I could easily say that ZAPM, for example, lacks a lot
of the cool features seen in games like ADOM and NetHack - like a world
map, a rich set of skills and abilities, monster memory, variety of
items, plot features, etc etc. But that would be stupid. Because it
_is_ an in-dev project I will not trash it on what it doesn't have.
Instead I consentrate on pointing out things that are already in the
existing projects.

And I certainly did point out things that I didn't like. For example
Kaduria's background graphics (a whole paragraph on this I believe), lack
of things to do in ZAPM, Silmar being too hard, etc, etc.

As I said in the second line of the review page: "The purpose of this
page is to provide links to and review a bunch of fairly recent roguelike
projects that have something of interst in them."

Focusing on the interesting parts of projects is much more important for
developers than the negative parts, because the chances are that your own
project is actually different so you will not implement the same
annoyances as the other projects, but after reading some reviews and then
trying out the game you will maybe see some features that make the game
fun and interesting to play.

You may have noticed that I didn't give out 'grades' to the projects,
because again it's meaningless to compare projects all of which are at
different stages of development.
