There are two different Chipsets in plan: Crush 11 & Crush 12. Both will use DDR-SDRAM, and the LDT as licensed from AMD. It will be using the NV17 Graphics core. The specs are currently undisclosed. but it will interface to the memory using LMA.
Mobos based on these chipsets will be available around November. The first mobo manufacturers to use it will be Asus, ABIT, MSI, Gigabyte and Acer.

No. The Crush 11 and 12 are full north bridge chipsets. The nv17 is the GPU. The Southbridge is the nVidia mcp-1.

Hmm that sounds nice...would we be able to disable the on-board NV17 and add an AGP card? I wouldn't want to be stuck with any graphics chipset forever...
I've read somewhere that the onboard graphic card can easily be disabled to add an AGP card. Can someone please post a link for more infos and this chipset

Grizley:
Yes, it will have integrated memory. It is uncertain yet, whether it will share the system ram.
dhlucke:
Yep! Highend boards with integrated ddr, using LDT. its gonna rock.
Kelledin:
Yep! it has an AGP port for any AGP card.

Bad points about this chipset. (Well actually the mcp-1 southbridge):
* Only 2 USB ports.
* Only 5 PCI Slots.
Good things:
* Possible USB 2.0
* Possible PC2600 Ram.

I believe you wanted some links. The thing is that nVidia hasn't officially said anything about the chipset. Most of the info on the web about this is kinda old and so not very accurate. I think most of the people are making guesses from what they see in the X-Box.

The info on this one is a bit old I think.

I doubt that they will use direct AGP like Intel unless the system ram is DDR. One thing for sure is that the OEM's can't wait to get their hands on these boards.

Hey is the memory controller architecture in this chipset gonna be anything like that in the GeForce3?? If so then I'll definitely wait for it and kiss VIA goodbye!!!
