Hello, I have a folder with Prime95 on my desktop. I didn't install it. I have Windows 7 and would like to remove this freeware, it doesn't show up on install or uninstall programs. What should I do. Is this necessary?

Delete it via Explorer.

It's safe. It computes Prime numbers and is used by many people to stress test a CPU, especially to see how hot it will get.

Yep, you can just remove it. If it's not installed, someone must have just downloaded it, and stopped there.

I tried to uninstall, can't. Explorer is no help. and the install and uninstall on my computer doesn't show it. Now what?

It doesn't sound like it is installed. You simply need to highlight the folder, and press the delete key.

If for some reason it's not allowing you to do that, download revo uninstaller. Then set it to hunter mode, and move your target to the prime 95 folder.
