My monitor is an HD LCD flat panel monitor. The screen is dirty. It isn't filthy, it isn't disgustingly bad, but it needs a cleaning. When the screen is full of white, I can see several grey blemishes dotted around the screen. I've never cleaned the screen before.
These blemishes on the screen might be hard to get off. They've been there for who knows how long (got the monitor in late January of 2010). Should I be able to clean the blemishes off my screen with some HD LCD monitor cleaner? Or would I have to scrub too hard and that would just damage the monitor?
Also, are all LCD monitor cleaners the same? I can just get some stuff from Walmart and that'll do the trick? And I'll read the instructions on how to clean a HD LCD monitor, but do you always have to have the monitor off when cleaning it? It is a mistake to clean a monitor that is on?
