Creative Nomad Zen NX

Hi,

I bought Creative Nomad Zen NX 20GB and I am very concerned about the sound quality. I use Koss PortaPro headphones, which sound great on several CD players and especially SB Audigy2, virbrate my head with bass. But on Nomad Zen NX the bass response is weak and when I increse the custom EQ of EAX 100Hz to 12, the sound gets distorted without bass increase, but at position 9 it sounds fine, but the bass is still weak. I rip my CDs digitally at different qualities like 100 VBR, 192CBR or 320kbps CBR, even pure WAV doesn't make any difference in sound quality. Creative sent me the second player and it still sounds the same. The reviews on the internet say that Zen NX has great sound quality but I guess they never really went into sound quality checking like using good headphones or compare to other players using good headphones. Friend of mine told me that he tried the iPod with his quality headphones and he said that the sound was terrible and distorted, so it looks like iPod is even worst in sound quality. I would like to know your experiences using any Creative Nomad players with good quality headphones, and what do you think about the bass response compared to SB Audigy/2?
