I have a bit of an interesting dilemma. I am looking for a laptop with a blu-ray drive and hdmi out, but I don't care about gaming.
Unfortunately, from what I've been able to find most laptops only offer blu-ray drives in the higher end models with very fast processors and graphics cards intended for gaming. All I need of the processor/gfx card is for it to be able to handle blu-ray, so I feel like in these cases I'm paying several hundred dollars extra for speed I won't need.
All I'm looking for is a nicely built laptop that will play blu-ray and has HDMI out, at the best price possible.
So far, the cheapest I've been able to come up with is an XPS15 for around $1k. What other options are out there for less?
