I've been doing research on laptops and quite frankly I'd like to see what a laptop based on the Duron is capable of. I've been trying to find any Laptop based on the Mobile Duron and have been very unsuccessful in my search. I'm aware that NEC plans to use the chip in its LaVie U series of Notebooks, a notebook that is supposedly currently only sold in Japan.
So, I know the chips are being shipped, especially since the 800MHz one was just shipped. But when will the notebooks be available in the US? Are they already and I just am not thorough enough in my searching? I haven't even been able to find any time tables.
Can anyone shed some light on this conundrum?
