First i wanna ask if there are a great difference between 266fsb and a 200fsb. its only 66mhz more...
i have decided to go for a AMD cpu (1g), because it is competitive to P4, and are much easier to overclock (lead on bridges).
the specs i am thinkin about now are:
Case: Aopen HQ45 (300W)
MOB: Asus A7V KT133
CPU 200FSB: AMD Thunderbird 1000MHZ with Swiftech MC370-0A FSB (maybe artic silver goop)
RAM: NO-NAME 256MB PC133
GPU: Asus V7700 Geforce2 GTS 32MB
HDD: Maxtor 40,9GB 7200RPM
and some other stuff, but i just dont bother to write down...
are there any known compability problems with this components?
do i need DDR-RAM to run at 266FSB? or can i use normal PC133 SDRAM? how much can i apromixately overclock the CPU?
any tips ideas? i am new with AMD pcs, i have (had) a celeron 300a overclocked to 500mhz... until it had a melt down...
i also got tired of the 66FSB.. it is terrible slow!
