As soon as I boot up my machine the task manager says i'm using 222mb out of 512mb of ram. I'm no os genious but I'd say that is a little over what it should be. The only things I have set to come on at boot up (other than nesissary windows stuff) is norton antivirus auto protect, powerstrip, and logitec itouch. there is no way that those small things could use that much ram. in processes the ram usage could not add up to 222mb at all so there has to be something else eating the ram.
If anyone has some thought I would like to hear them!

Have you disabled unnecessary Services (<A HREF="http://www.blkviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm" target="_new">Windows XP Home and Professional Service Configurations</A>) and checked to be absolutely certain what is loading up from the Registry at startup?
