Digital pen scanner

I'm looking for a digital pen scanner that is capable of scanning handwritten notes to transfer them into Microsoft Word documents. So basically, I want to digitize hand notes so I can either edit them or simply save them on my laptop. As far as I know, certain pens can do that; however, if there are other gadgets with such features, I'm open to all suggestions.

If someone could point me towards a specific brand/product, I would appreciate it.

I might have found an alternative to a digital pen scanner. I've researched OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software, they seem quite legitimate. I've got my eye on Omnipage Professional. I could take a photo of the documents either with a digital camera or a mobile phone to load them into the software.
