enhancing dagger skill

A Vandevogel acquaintance found that luring a troll into a dead end made
a perfect target for enhancing dagger. A supply of 12 +6 Elven daggers
soon got dagger to skilled.

He's now two-weaponing at skilled with The Blessed+7Grayswandir/Blessed
+7 silver saber, so is keeping the daggers quivered for dealing with
mind flayers etc.

Since tourists can get to skilled in sabre, it seems that they are
actually fighters ! If they survive long enough & do the quest. This
looks promising after a rather cowardly starting strategy (run away !run
away !)

Q: Has anyone tried two-weaponing with +2 Magicbane(expert)/+7 silver
sabre(skilled) ? How would that compare with the above combination or
with the third option +7 frost Brand(basic)/+7 silver sabre (skilled) ?

I have tried magicbane/sabre combination for a while but found the
effects of magic bane didn't make up for the excess amount of damage
frosty can do. In terms of accuracy, once you are high enough level to
start doubling up with a +7 sabre and max enchanted artifact I have
never found hitting anything a problem.

My current tourist is currently wielding +7 Grayswandir with +7 Silver
saber. He was also able to create two +5 rings of increase damage -
after busting around four of them. It is by far the best fighter I ever
played. He's keeping a +2 magicbane in case the PYEC gets stolen (his
source of MR). Add a stack of rustproof +6 daggers just to be sure.

Expert with dagger, skilled with saber, skilled with two weapon makes
for a mean killing machine.

If you take the time to make those two rings of damage any combination
will do... I'm very satisfied (rings or not) with Grayswandir/Saber
and Magicbane/saber or Vorpal/saber. Grayswandir/saber is definitely
the best combination because of silver damage and Skilled level. But
magicbane has very nice effects and is the way to go against monster
with special attacks.

As an aside, the PYEC and magicbane as sources of MR, allow for this
great set of armor (all at +5):

tshirt
SDSM
robe
gauntlets of dex
helm of brilliance
speed boots

On the neck is either magical breathing or life saving or unchanging
depending on mood and experimentation.

So not only this tourist is one of the best fighter I ever played, it's
also a very very good spellcaster.

With GSw and a silver saber, most fighters pale against
the power of the tourist melee. Tourists are, in my opinion,
by far the easiest class in late game.

Don't forget the PYEC and wands.

I *love* lategame tourists.

Now if only GS wasn't lawful...
