Flatspace crosses Elite-like space traders with rogue-like RPG's in a
top-down arcade environment so I thought viewers might be interested in the
following announcement.

Cornutopia Software have released a new version of the space trading game
Flatspace, now available on www.lostinflatspace.com. As well as fixes to
some rare bugs, the new version also includes a few gameplay updates. Later
this year work is scheduled to begin on a sequel.

Flatspace is a vast adventure game. As commander of a space ship of your
choice, you the player decide how to play, survive and prosper. You can hunt
space pirates, trade cargo between space stations, mine asteroids for
minerals, join the Flatspace police or become an outlaw. Game influences
include Elite, and rogue-like role playing games such as Nethack. For more
information visit www.lostinflatspace.com.

No Linux version? Sad :(
Or is a Windows license included? That would make it interesting for me
again :-)

I don't think you, specifically, were really considering it, but I hope no
rgrn-er will consider giving money to people who slap OT advertising into
the group. It's not roguelike; and if it was, this announcement would
belong on rgr.announce.

I found the demo interesting, but I don't know if it is interesting
enough to pay money for. To me it would be like someone told me they
wanted to charge me to be able to play Nethack. Sure it's fun and all,
but I don't know if I would pay to play Nethack.
