I always wondered how long will my computer will able to run games at 1024x768@32 with highest settings at 30 or more fps??? Right now it does (much more then 30fps) My specs:
Asus A7V, ATA/100, 200FSB, supports pc133 RAM (I don't think saying other things about sucky A7V is neccesary)
800Mhz Athlon T-bird(don't wan to OClock it).
448Mb CAS 2.5 pc133 RAM.
30Gb Diamond Maxtor ATA/100, 9ns serach time, 7200rpm, 2048Kb cache(like 2 Mb RAM) hard drive.
NVIDIA CardExpert GeForce2 MX Golden Sample(fastest and best MX card, high quality memory, overclocked from 175/166 to 225/225(I'll add heatsinks and will get like 250/250)32Mb)
Sound Blaster Live! Value card and 2 nice 3D support speakers(don't care about sound AT ALL)
955df Samsung monitor, DynaFlat, 1600x1200@69Hz max res.
That's about it.
Will that give smooth gaming until the next Christmas?? I will upgrade my videocard then(on Christmas). Will upgrading the videocard give me more frames without upgrading CPU?? Should I upgrade my CPU or my computer fot any game?... (I forgot to say about 56K , but connect at 37.333bps)
Thank, You
