I've just gotten my wife a Treo 650 for her birthday, and had a
question for anyone who has gone this route.

Her Treo 600 is working just fine with syncronizing to Outlook (with
Chapura, if it matters), can I just plug the USB cable into the
machine and swap Palms, or do I _have_ to load the new software for
the Treo 650 (and risk ruining my T|T3, network, and Outlook sync)???

no you have to install everything new and the hotsync cables are
different. be carefur and go to palm one and read about the upgrade
process.
