Well its true. My P3 runs 10c cooler then my neighbor athlon

My system:
P3 733
512mb PC100 sdram ( i got another 512mb for northwood )
Chaintech i815ep mobo
4000rpm case fan
Intel HSF "replaced w/ FOP38 + 120w peltier"

Neighbor:
Athlon(tbird) 700
128mb PC133 SDRAM
Asus AV7 (kt133) mobo
4000 rpm case fan
AMD HSF "Replace with my Intel HSF"

heck i put my intel HSF on his PC and it run 7c cooler. Heck intel HSF kick [-peep-] !!! Well i let him keep my Intel HSF and i got a FOP38 w/ 120w peltier combo.

Northwood P4 + i845(brookdale)+ 1gb PC100 SDRAM + SCSI3 640 +ATi Radeon 2 = Dream Team

1st of all your how did u get these temps? Off the mother board? Mobo temp reading are notoriously inaccurate. Even 2 mobo of the exact same brand can vary greatly. So unless you use a high quality thermal measuring device and go to great pains to mount it exactly the same way on each CPU there is no way to know fore sure which one is running cooler.

2nd You expect anyone to believe an Intel heatsink will out perform a FOP38 + peltier. Please! Then you go on and say you kept the fop + peltier, Why did you give away your superior Intel heat sink? It just doesn’t make sense.

I don’t believe a word of this.

Thx & Cya
