I want one! Too bad we have to wait until Q4 to get it (that's according to Intel's latest statements). It also sounds like we will see a 2GHz .18 micron CPU in Q3 (I sure don't understand why Intel is even bothering with that)!

I want a Palomino....BTW the next P4 looks just like the pentium MMX did! History repeats itself...The Pentium 233 MMX was a kick butt CPU, the only Intels I ever touched.

when its Q4 there will be a $hit load of program with SSE2 instruction. With a Improve FPU "L2 512kb, double pumped ALU". Its going to be a war.

The only nice Intel guy.

Na, when Northwood finaling shows up, it will most likely continue Intel's trend of not being about to produce a cpu in quanities. I'm sure its going to be a lot better than the P4, but at that time the clawhammer will be out, out of the design specs; its just a far better design.

"continue Intel's trend of not being about to produce a cpu in quanities"

Whatever are you talking about?

Look at Intel's paper launches the last couple of years and that is what I am talking about. I know from the small oem business end. Having to wait almost 3 months for a 1 gig PIII for customers is not something that made me happy. When the P4 was brought out, it was also a paper launch. Most of the high end coppermine launches were paper launches. Need I say more?
I know you work for Intel in the software department, but Intel has dropped the ball and gotten lazy. Programmers and Engineers don't run Intel anymore.....only accounts and fat managers.....
