Multiple Display Portrait and Landscape Matching Monitors

Looking for two displays that will match up with one large one in landscape, and a smaller one to the left in portrait.

I'd like the larger one to be 24-27" and the portrait one to simply match up in height when it is portrait. I was hoping there are a few of you out there who already have this setup and could easily recommend me a few monitors.

Aesthetics are relatively important to me, and I would prefer that they are the same brand with smaller bezel's. My current HP 27" monitor has nearly 2" of bezel around it and I don't like it when I place monitors next to it. Looking to spend around $400 for the two of them without a multi-monitor stand (I am somewhat embedding them into the back of homebuilt desk). The budget is pretty lenient, as I am finally going all out on a system and don't want to skimp if spending the extra money is justifiable.

Either 1920 x 1080 or 1200 resolution for the large monitor, and really anything for the portrait monitor so long as it is easy to view webpages and word documents. I don't need built in speakers, 3D or touchscreen. I plan on adding a third touchscreen monitor to the right side or embedded into the surface of the desk down the road, and am set on a sound system.

I don't mean to be asking for you guys to do the research for me, just hoping I can find a few of you with a similar setup for ideas to go from.

Thanks in advance.
