Can you run less than 5GB on a 64 bit OS?

I have installed 64-bit operating system and 5 GB RAM installed but my point is only 3GB I have tried everything but it still will not give anyone could help me and thanks in advance

minimum for 64-bit Windows 7 is 2GB, it's 1GB for 32-bit

I cannot imagine why you have 5 GB of RAM installed.... 2 2GB sticks and 2 512MB sticks?

What is your video card?
