Question about vigilante spell swapping

One of my players has just attained his 7th level in the Vigilante class
from Complete Adventurer (the "big level" where his spellcasting ability
gets bumped up quite a bit). He wants to know if he can use all 30 of
the 3rd level spells he gets to swap out for 2nd level spells, like a
sorcerer or wizard can. I think he is out to use mirror image and
bladeweave at the start of EVERY combat or something. I think this is
allowed, but I don't see any documentation one way or another in the
books. Any help?

Thanks,

- Ron ^*^

Don't be an idiot, Ron. That's an obvious misprint in the table and he
should really be getting 30 3rd level spells in the first place so there's
no need to swap.

How can you think it's a misprint if you AGREE with it?

It was a misprint. It should have said "wife swapping," not "spell
swapping."
